About Marlene
Marlene Graham
Marlene Graham resides in Connecticut. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. Marlene is an Investigative Social Worker for the Department of Children and Families where she has worked for 18 years serving the families of the City of New Haven.
Marlene has been a member of the Elm City Club of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club Incorporated for 23 years. Over the years, she has served the Club in various positions from Youth Director (3rd Vice), Financial Secretary and Recording Secretary; as well as, served on various committees. She currently serves the Elm City Club as one of the Advisors for the Youth Club.
Marlene believes in giving back and lifting up the community she lives in. She is an active member of Theta Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she is the Graduate Advisor overseeing the local Undergraduate Chapter and is on the Board of Directors for Family Centered Services of Connecticut where she serves as Governance Co-Chair. She has also volunteered her time at her job; developing, educating and exposing the state committed youths to college life and learning about their history through HBCU college tours, conferences and visiting African American historical sites throughout the country.
